Brett Favre – The Truth Of The Matter
No one seems to be able to tell what’s going on with Brett Favre right now. It’s been suggested by various forms of the media that FOX fabricated the fact that Brett Favre texted his teammates about his desire to retire. Further worsening the matter is that Farve lied about the texts, insisting that those who claimed he had texted them were lying as well. The truth, however, is that Favre did send those text messages, explaining to his team that he was going to be retiring due to health reasons.
However, after Favre sent the texts, reportedly the Vikings team members and organization pleaded with him to reconsider. The Vikings even increased his designated salary, going up from $13 million to $20 million. But it’s Favre’s teammates that have him at a loss. “He’s torn,” said a source. “I think in his mind he was done, but loves the guys in this locker room and doesn’t want to let them down. He didn’t want to [come back], but I don’t think he can say no to these guys. He’s tortured.”
