John Lackey Booed At Angel Stadium

At John Lackey’s return to Angel Stadium, but playing opposite the Angels rather than with them, Lackey reportedly stated the the situation wasn’t a big deal for him. This was obviously not true for the fans, however, as during both his first and last inning, he was booed on the field by members of the crowd. As pitcher, Lackey played a large part in helping his team to a 4-2 victory, the Sox’s sixth win (of six games) against the Angels. Lackey tried not to make too much of the booing. “I definitely heard a lot of them, yeah,” he said. “I don’t know. It is what it is. The scoreboard talks the last.”
